Clonakilty Distillery Announces The Release Of A 32 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey

Clonakilty Distillery today announced the launch of a 32 Year Old Single Malt Irish whiskey.

This ultra-aged whiskey, matured in Oloroso Sherry hogshead casks, spent the last 8 years in their warehouse perched at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

With the passage of time, the fruit flavours have matured, revealing rich notes reminiscent of Christmas cake. A delightful plum pudding sweetness is impeccably balanced by the opulence of prunes and fig. We have six casks in total, and we are going to release four or possibly five at most, so this is an exceptionally limited release.

Each individual cask is bottled at cask strength, and each bottle is individually numbered and labelled accordingly, underscoring the rarity of this release. Housed in a premium wooden case, exuding an aura of elegance and sophistication, the meticulously crafted 700ml bottle within is a true embodiment of luxury.

As an additional indulgence, a 50ml tasting vial accompanies each purchase, affording enthusiasts the opportunity to savour a small serving before committing to the full experience.
